“Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademia” is an autonomous body and this powerful academy is working under the control of Ministry of Civil Aviation. It is usually called as IGRUA. This esteemed academy was laid by our Late (Capt) Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in November, 1985 in Raebareilly, Uttarpradesh.

The intention of the academy is to fulfill the flying dreams of students providing flying standard training in the Civil Aviation Industry. The flying training has been offered by highly qualified professionals, experts and ground instructors who posses a great experience in the field of aviation and training in flying.

This akademia possesses an extraordinary infrastructure specially designed for the aviation practice, large hostel for Pilot Trainees, separate quarters for staffs and it is the oldest and leading institute in South Asia. The institution offers world class training skills so that the candidates can do their work wherever they get a chance, wherever they go.

More than 10 courses are conducted by IGRU. “Ab-Initio to CPL ( Commercial Pilot License )” course is conducted by every year whereas the others are conducted according to the request of individuals.

To secure the real talents across the country, IGRU conducts a firm selection process. This process is stepped as

• Online Written Examination (10+2 level objective type questions only and No negative marking )
• Viva/Interview
• Pilot Aptitude

One can join in “Ab-Initio to CPL ( Commercial Pilot License ), IGRUA by successfully clearing the above steps.

The written examination will have 1 paper of 2 hrs time duration and the questions will be from General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning,and current affiars of 10+2 standard.

• The minimum age limit is 17 yrs at the time of joining the course
• The minimum qualification is 10+2 (Or) equivalent with Maths, Physics and English.
